SVN Dutch Fly Fishing Championships - individual 2023

Total number of competitors in the Championship: 51

The SVN/VNV Dutch Fly Fishing Championship 2023 final was cancelled. The final was then fished at Indiana (Belgium) on March 24, 2024. Peter Elberse refused to compete any longer in a Championship led by the Competing Competition Committee. So Peter did not compete in the final, giving up his leading position in the Championship. At the final 7 out of 30 finalists cancelled and didn't fish. That's a stunning and 'never before' 23.33% of competitors not fishing the final! The results of the 2023 Dutch Fly Fishing Championships are therefore meaningless as the insiders all know. For the future the current Competing Competition Committee found a solution. No more final as of 2024! The Championship and the selection of the Dutch Fly Fishing Competitors for the FIPS Mouche Worlds, Europeans and Masters turned into a complete joke!
